VIPER Student Board

The VIPER Student Board (VSB) is an organization of VIPER students responsible for organizing social and professional events for both the VIPER program and the broader University community. These events aim to strengthen the VIPER community and facilitate the integration of VIPER into the University community.

Additionally, the VSB works closely with the VIPER Alumni Board (VAB) to connect current students with successful VIPER graduates who have gone on to work in a wide range of industries, from graduate school and finance to banking, law, medicine, and beyond. This ensures that current students can be connected with alumni in any field, providing valuable mentorship opportunities.

Student Houses

Each year, the VSB assigns the incoming class to one of the four VIPER Houses: Geothermal, Solar, Wind, and Hydro. Once assigned, students belong to their house for life, so to speak. Throughout the year, students compete to earn points for their house, with the ultimate goal of winning the House Cup, awarded at the end of the year to the house with the most points.

Meet the Board

Max Chen Huang

President (VIPER '27)

Max is a junior from Montreal, Canada, studying Physics and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. In his free time, he likes to bike around Philly and try new coffee shops.

Tuna Sagdan

Treasurer (VIPER '27)

Tuna is a junior from Keşan, Turkey. He studies Chemistry and Materials Science Engineering and is a huge soccer fan.

Arjun Sharma

Social Chair (VIPER '28)

Arjun is a sophomore from Princeton, New Jersey, studying Chemistry and Chemical Engineering with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship. His top three favorite movies are Parasite, La La Land, and the 2003 Cat in the Hat live action.

Annabel Helmer-Lynn

Alumni Liaison (VIPER '28)

Annabel Helmer-Lynn is a sophomore studying chemistry and materials science and engineering from Chicago, Illinois. She collects minerals and has a cat named Butter.

William Deng

Academic Chair (VIPER '28)

William is a sophomore from Irvine, California. He studies Earth & Environmental Science and Mechanical Engineering. He is a big LEGO fan & collector!

Namrata P.

Namrata is a sophomore from Raleigh, North Carolina, studying Chemical Engineering and Biophysics. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball and sudoku.

Aaditya Karnataki

Aaditya Karnataki is a sophomore studying Chemistry and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Cupertino, CA.

VSB was originally founded in 2020 by four VIPER students in the Class of 2021:
