Vagelos Visit: VIPER Program Celebration 2014

On April 11, 2014, VIPER hosted its premiere lunch and poster session for all program students, faculty and staff. The guest of honor and featured speaker for the event was Dr. P. Roy Vagelos, M.D. (see his biography here). Dr. Vagelos visited with VIPER students throughout the day about the importance of creating a sustainable energy future.

Second-year VIPER students presented posters on their scientific research related to the energy field, on topics ranging from solar energy and fuel cells to improving the energetic efficiencies of electronic devices. Dr. Vagelos also participated in the VIPER-120 Spring Seminar, where he offered advice and encouragement to first-year VIPER students related to their research interests, educational goals, and professional ambitions.
